Cafe Coloniale is an Italian restaurant based on the main Santa Maria square that offers a downstairs area for drinking as well as an upstairs eating area. There also now a themed Heineken bar from the same owner, located directly next door.
The seating upstairs means you can enjoy the atmosphere and the panoramic view of the square and the beach beyond
Al-fresco style street seating also make Cafe Coloniale a lovely place to enjoy a drink and watch the locals going about their business or even take in one of the Samba drum presentations that often take place on the square.
The food ranges from seafood to pasta to pizza with the pizza being cooked fresh in front of your eyes. With the owner and the chef being from Italy you can feel the Sicilian influence flowing through the atmosphere and cuisine.
