Sapo Com Fome ( 'The Hungry Frog') opened its doors in August 2012 and ever since has proved popular with both locals and overseas visitors alike. The restaurant is very much a family run business owned by Cabo Verdean Dayenne and her English husband Nick. Head chef is Dayenne's mother Ana, a very accomplished cook.
Dishes are freshly cooked to order and the menu is extensive ranging from locally caught fish, lobster and octopus to more traditional Cabo Verdean dishes such as 'Catchupa'. Many clients have reported Sapo Com Fome prepares the best fish dishes on the island. As well as offering a good selection of wines you can also enjoy excellent live traditional Cabo Verdean music on Friday and Saturday nights.
