Pubim

Renowned for being the cheapest place to eat out in Santa Maria, Pubim has quickly become a very popular restaurant.

Situated in a side road, just opposite the main square, Pubim caters for tourists and locals who want no nonsense food at very reasonable prices.

The plate of the date, which could be chicken, and rice or fish and rice comes in at 2.50 Euro is limited and goes very quickly, so get there early. There is also a regular menu, with all the usual Capeverdean dishes you would expect.

In the evening Pubim offers a more varied menu but the great value prices remain. Live music every evening keeps the crowds entertained..
