Description
Begin with a pickup from the port of Praia. Exit the cruise port and meet your expert guide holding a sign with your name. Walk through the historic Plateau district visiting Jaime Mota Military Barracks, the Presidential Palace, Praça Alexandre Albuquerque, and the Municipal Market (closed Sundays).
Then travel to Cidade Velha, the first European city in sub-Saharan Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore São Filipe Fortress, the ruins of the first European cathedral in sub-Saharan Africa, the former slave market, and Banana Street with its traditional thatched houses during a guided walking tour.
Afterward, return to Praia by scenic drive and end the tour with drop-off at Praia Harbour.
