Description
This quad bike tour takes you along challenging trails across Sal Island’s varied terrain, from deserted beaches to desert mirages. Experienced guides ensure a safe and authentic experience throughout the trip.
The tour begins in Santa Maria and passes through the Salt Pans of Santa Maria, where you can observe traditional salt extraction. Next, Praia do Kite offers views of kitesurfers navigating ideal waves and winds. Riding through Serra Negra, you will encounter mountainous trails with panoramic views combining the island’s arid interior and coastline.
The short tour focuses on adrenaline and essential island spots, featuring a visit to Shark Bay to see lemon sharks in shallow waters. The full tour extends beyond this, including the Pedra de Lume Salt Mines inside a volcanic crater, the mirage phenomena at Terra Boa, the Buracona 'Blue Eye' natural pool, and Palmeira Village, where you can explore local culture, the fishing harbor, and a desalination plant. Lunch is available during the stop in Palmeira (not included).
