Description

Begin with pickup from your accommodation in Santa Maria, then travel to Murdeira village to visit its nature reserve and view Lion Mountain. Continue to the fishing village of Palmeira to engage with local life.

Next, visit Buracona to see the “Blue Eye” and, weather permitting, swim in the natural pool. Proceed to Miragem to photograph desert water illusions and enjoy a lunch featuring Cape Verdean cuisine.

After lunch, explore Espargos, observing street art that celebrates Cape Verdean women, culture, and history. Then, head to Shark Bay where you can walk into the ocean and observe harmless lemon sharks up close while wearing water shoes.

The tour ends at Pedra de Lume, in a salt pan below sea level inside an extinct volcano crater. Cross its cave and float in the highly saline thermal lagoons, an experience enhanced by bringing a book to relax. Return transfer to your accommodation concludes the tour.
