Description
The tour begins at your hotel at 9:15 AM. The first stop is Ponta Preta, where white sand dunes meet dark volcanic rocks, creating powerful waves popular for surfing and windsurfing competitions. Here you’ll receive an itinerary overview and a brief history of Cape Verde.
Next, visit Murdeira in the island’s center, with views of Monte Leão, a prominent local landmark. From there, travel north to Espargos, the island’s capital, for a city tour that concludes at a panoramic belvedere.
Visit Palmeira, the island’s sole port and an important industrial center. Then head east of Palmeira to Buracona, known for natural pools and the Blue Eye phenomenon—sunlight illuminating a 25-meter deep cave between 10:30 AM and 1 PM.
West of the island lies Terra Boa, the only agricultural land known for desert mirages. On the return to Espargos, the tour passes social institutions like schools and kindergartens.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Espargos, with options including typical dishes and pizza. After lunch, visit Baia de Parda to spot lemon sharks, then conclude the tour at Pedra de Lume to bathe in therapeutic waters inside an extinct volcano’s salt pans. The tour returns to your hotel around 4 PM.
