Description

Your tour begins with a 30-minute drive from your accommodation to Rui Vaz village, located at about 700 meters altitude. Here, you will engage with local farmers and learn about their cultivation of sugar cane, mangoes, cassava, and bananas.

From Rui Vaz, enjoy panoramic views of the São Jorge Valley and Pico D'Antónia Mountain, Santiago island’s highest point at 1,394 meters. Then, visit Longueira village to explore local rum production during its season from January 1st to April 31st.

The tour concludes with a visit to Cape Verde’s only botanical garden, home to preserved endemic plants, before returning you to your accommodation.
