Description

Your tour begins with pickup from your accommodation, followed by a transfer to the village of Longueira in São Jorge dos Órgãos where Pico D'Antónia is located.

Along the way, you will pass the village primary school, the Lemba Lemba Eco Bar, and visit a local rum distillery (rum production runs from January 1 to April 31).

The hike starts toward Pico Riba, passing by rural homes nestled among rocks. You will see local plantations including mango, cassava, and papaya, and depending on the season, sample freshly picked strawberries from December to April.

From the 600-meter (1,968-foot) summit of Pico Riba, you will have panoramic views of the São Jorge Valley, an ancient volcanic crater on the island.
