The tour departs from Praia, starting at the Plateau district to admire elegant colonial architecture and experience the city's authentic atmosphere. Next, visit Sucupira Market, known for its vibrant colors, aromas, and local life.
Before reaching the coast, stop at the National Archives of Cape Verde, housed in a historic building. The archives contain documents dating to the 15th century, including slavery records, colonial manuscripts, and a significant cartographic collection. This visit offers insight into the deep history shaping Cape Verdean identity.
The route continues to Dona Maria Pia Lighthouse, providing ocean views. Visitors may optionally enter the lighthouse for an additional €2.
