Travel to Calabaceira, a hillside village above Cidade Velha, where you will share a coffee break with a local family and learn about rural lifestyle and customs.

Begin the guided hike along scenic trails connecting Calabaceira to Cidade Velha. Along the way, observe diverse endemic flora, enjoy views of the ocean and valleys, and hear stories about rural life and the history of Cape Verde’s former capital.

Visit a nearby distillery for an optional grogue rum tasting (2€ per person).
