Description
Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Praia, the airport, or the cruise port. Head into the interior of Santiago Island, making a few stops along the way to capture photos of the stunning scenery.
Drive for around 1 hour to the starting point of your hike at Serra Malagueta National Park. Begin your hike from 700 meters above sea level. Throughout the walk, take in views of the green valley with traditional houses and mango trees.
Arrive at the community of Mato Dento, meet locals, experience the rural lifestyle, and admire waterfalls during the rainy season. At the end of the route, pass by the Principal Dam, built to help local families with irrigated agriculture.
