Description
This coast-to-coast off-road tour covers Sal’s key natural and cultural sights. You will be picked up from your Santa Maria hotel or meet at the designated point before starting on the west coast. Visit Murdeira Bay with Lion Mountain, the Fontona Oasis, and Palmeira, the island’s main port.
Head northwest to the natural swimming pool of Regona, then witness the desert mirage at Terra Boa. Continue to Pedra de Lume’s volcanic crater containing one of the world’s saltiest waters, with panoramic island views from the summit.
Next, observe lemon sharks in their natural habitat at Shark Bay. Pass through Serra Negra natural reserve and stop at Kite Beach, known for its white sand and vibrant kite surfing. Conclude the tour at Santa Maria’s salt flats and sand dunes.
