Description

Your tour begins with hotel pick-up by 4x4 vehicle, heading to Morro de Areia, a large sand dune also known as the 'mountain of sand.' Here you can try sandboarding, an exciting new activity on the island.

Next, travel along the dunes and coast to Turtle Bay (Baía de Tartaruga) where you can observe Green Turtles feeding in their natural environment. Unlike Loggerhead Turtles, Green Turtles feed here but spawn elsewhere.

A short drive takes you to Shark Bay (Baía de Tubarão), where, depending on sea conditions, you may see Lemon Sharks.

The tour continues to Santa Monica Beach, a 12-kilometer stretch of white sand and clear water.

Finally, visit Povoação Velha, Boavista’s oldest village inhabited by farmers and fishermen. Here you can sample local dishes and traditional drinks like Grogue (rum) and Pontche (liqueur).
