Description
Discover the culture and authentic life of Boa Vista with us in half a day.
On this tour, we want to show you the real life of the locals, the other side that tourism doesn't reach.
Our first stop is a visit to the goat farm to see how goat farming works. It's an activity that feeds families in the villages and was essential for the survival of the residents of Boa Vista before tourism.
Then we'll head east to the greenest part of the island, where vegetables are grown despite the water shortage.
Later, we'll pass through the colorful villages and visit the largest lighthouse on the island, Morro Negro, where you'll be rewarded with a unique view of the east coast.
The walk up takes about 12 minutes.
Next, we'll head to Porto Ferreira beach (shell beach) where there's a free souvenir.
Then we'll head back to the village to try the goat cheese made by the shepherd and the watermelons harvested by the farmer.
This way, you'll get to know the island's specialties and support the locals by helping them earn an income.
Finally, we'll head back to Route 66 and make a short photo stop here.
