Myself and my sister from Canada visited this restaurant, and we were treated very well. If you don't know the local language, no problems, Tracy one of the owners speaks English. She will also help out with any questions or concerns you may have about the area. If you are visiting Praia, trust me, it's worth it to go up and overnight there in one of the hotels. The restaurant is right on the beach, and the food? You may not know ahead of time what you are getting, shark? tuna? squid? but whatever you get will be very good. When you are there, you wil meet the locals that go there, and you will be treated like you are already part of their family. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.
We are still under construction, but having a beachfront means something fun to do everyday! Fresh local food, always changing with the farming season and daily catch.
Last January, we discovered a nice and friendly bar and restaurant in São Miguel, right on the seashore, run by a Canadian-Cape Verdean couple. It just opened a couple of months ago. For the mment, there is no signe on the outside but you will recognize it with the photo included and its blue mural on the outside. It is located in the middle of sao miguel. Its name will be "Veneza Beach Club". If you like to sip a coffee or enjoy homemade local food, listening to the waves or local music, that's the place for you. We became addicted to the octopus stew with feijoada, vegetable soup. You are treated like friends. The couple will be happy to chat with you and advise you. They have been living in Cape Verde for many years. That's the place to go in São Miguel. Thank you !
Are you in the neighborhood? Then be sure to stop by here. They serve delicious local dishes. If you like eating squid, then you have come to the right place. They have the tastiest squid we have ever eaten. All the other dishes are also deliciously seasoned and incredibly fresh. You can also enjoy a nice drink here. Besides everything else, Tracey and Elizi (the owners) are sweethearts. They can also tell you a lot about the island. We spent quite a few hours with them and, thanks in particular to them, had a wonderful time on Santiago Island ♥️
