Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pick-up in Santa Maria or a meet-up at the local pier. After a warm welcome and safety briefing, your local guide will provide all the necessary gear and take you to the best snorkeling site of the day, based on weather, tides, and sea conditions. Popular spots include Farol Reef, Dunas Bikini, Murdeira Bay, and the sunken Bolama shipwreck. As you slip into the water, you’ll be amazed by the clarity—visibility can reach up to 30 meters. Follow your guide through vibrant coral gardens, swim among colorful tropical fish, glide past rays, and maybe even spot turtles or moray eels. To protect the reefs, we follow eco-friendly guidelines such as limiting group sizes and avoiding the use of fins unless specifically requested. More than just a snorkeling trip, this experience offers insight into Cape Verde’s connection with the ocean. Learn how local fishermen, marine biologists, and conservation groups work together to preserve these biodiverse waters and support sustainable tourism. The total duration of the activity is between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the location chosen, sea conditions, and the pace of the group. This includes pick-up, briefing, gearing up, the snorkeling session itself (approximately 1 hour in the water), and the return transfer. Important Information

• Minimum age: 6 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be able to swim or feel comfortable in the water. The tour is weather and tide dependent and may be rescheduled for safety or be fully refunded. Life vests and fins are available upon request. This activity is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility. Please bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and water. Hotel pick-up is included for Santa Maria only; guests from Murdeira must meet at the pier. A minimum of 2 participants is required for the tour to run. Optional GoPro rental and professional photography services available (extra cost). Tour runs daily, all year round, including Sundays and holidays.
