Description

Imagine a peaceful walk along the coast of a beach, passing between two volcanoes. One of the island's geological landmarks, located in the eastern region, close to the small village of Calhau. Although not currently active, the volcano is an important part of the island's volcanic landscape, made up of cinder cones, solidified lava fields, and barren terrains that reflect the volcanic activity that has shaped the island over time. The area around the volcano is characterized by dark, rocky terrain with little vegetation, creating a desert-like and almost lunar landscape. The rhythmic sound of waves gently crashing on the sand serves as a natural soundtrack. The fresh, salty sea breeze touches your face, bringing a feeling of freedom and tranquility. The soft sand embraces your feet with each step, providing a slight sink with each movement. To the right, the sea stretches into the horizon, with waters in shades of blue and green, reflecting the brightness of the sun or the soft clouds in the sky. To the left, dunes and coastal vegetation complete the landscape, with low-lying plants and the occasional seabird that lands and walks on the sand, creating small footprints. At points along the way there are shells and small pieces of coral washed in by the tide, and you can feel the texture and coolness of the water as you walk close to the line where the waves reach the sand. Each breath feels deeper, taking in the scent of the ocean, as your gaze follows the infinite contour of the coast.
