Accommodation: São Vicente Kira’s Boutique Hotel or Casamarel (or similar) Meal Plan: Dinner Day 02: Full-Day São Vicente Island Tour Discover São Vicente through the eyes of a local guide who will share stories about Cape Verdean culture, history, and the meanings of “Morabeza” and “Sodade.” Travel from lively Mindelo through lunar landscapes, extinct volcanoes, and colorful fishing villages to Monte Verde, the island’s highest peak. Enjoy panoramic views while tasting home-brewed liquor and tea from a local. Lunch is served near the beach at Calhau. Relax or swim at Baía das Gatas before ending the day at two stunning Mindelo viewpoints. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Later, embark on a boat from São Pedro beach to snorkel with sea turtles in their natural habitat — a unique experience exclusive to São Vicente. A local guide will assist you in swimming alongside these majestic creatures. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Enjoy a traditional Cachupa lunch at a local bar. At noon, board the ferry to Santo Antão. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to relax and freshen up. Travel through lush Paul Valley, pine forests around Pico da Cruz, fishing village Ponta do Sol, and the old mountain road between valleys. Visit the jagged coastline, the famous Cova volcano crater, and the colorful capital Ribeira Grande with its striking wall paintings. Lunch is at a local B&B with live music. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
