Hot water shower, big bed with great green views, bum gun, and amazing dinner. It may be a little hard to find but ask the locals and they will guide you. This is a lovely paradise to break up your multi day hike. The garden especially is gorgeous in the evening sun with some fresh brewed coffee and cuddles with the cat. Amazing value for money.
I loved this guest house! Don't expect luxury, but a lovely place to stay in a quiet village. The place is green and lush, with beautiful flowers, the dinner was fantastic and the hosts take good care of you. Just bring earplugs as the roosters are LOUD at night!
We stayed for one night and overall the price–performance ratio is good. Getting to the accommodation by car was quite adventurous. We had to leave the car up on the main road near a small market with a garage. The path down to the place is poorly signposted and very steep, which is something to be aware of. The room had large windows facing greenery, which was nice. However, during strong winds there was a noticeable draft, and it got cold inside. In addition, the curtains are not very light-blocking, so the room gets bright as soon as the sun rises. That’s something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to light in the morning. The shower had very low water pressure and only cold water, which is especially challenging on cooler days. Dinner was a single set menu with vegetables and meat, costing 750 escudos per person, excluding drinks. All guests ate together at 7 pm, which was actually a highlight thanks to the pleasant company of the other guests. Breakfast was included and it was very basic: filter coffee, white bread, and jam. Overall, a simple place with a nice social atmosphere, but with some comfort and access issues to keep in mind.
We hiked down to this guest house on Christmas day. The village is really nice and very quiet, a local man showed us to the guest house. The garden leading to the house is beautiful and the surroundings are breathtaking. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are shared but clean and the views from the rooftop is amazing. Our only small issue was the noise from the animals in the morning but it was worth it. We had dinner and breakfast and both were lovely. Highly recommend!
