Reviews
We chose Oasis Salinas Sea based on its positive reviews and 5-star rating, but unfortunately our experience did not meet those expectations. The biggest advantages are the location, easy walking access to Santa Maria, and the beach just a few minutes from the rooms. The beach bar is a nice place to escape the sun, the beach toilets were clean, and there were plenty of sunbeds available. We also appreciated that the rooms were reasonably well soundproofed despite the evening entertainment near the pool area. However, the hotel falls short in several areas. Our room had very limited storage space, and apart from soap and shower gel, no additional toiletries were provided. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and on one occasion our room was only partially cleaned. The biggest disappointment was the food. The buffet selection was repetitive, often bland, and the quality did not match what we would expect from a 5-star hotel. Even basic seasonings such as salt and pepper were difficult to find in the restaurant. The beach barbecue dinner was particularly underwhelming. Overall, the location is excellent, but the food, room amenities, and overall service standards do not justify a 5-star rating in our opinion.
This is our second time at the hotel, which probably speaks for itself. We were very satisfied again. Everything was clean, the staff was nice and helpful, the food was delicious and the beach was beautiful. In our opinion, the hotel has one of the most beautiful, if not the best beach on the island. We enjoyed our entire stay and have nothing to complain about. If we return to Cape Verde, we will gladly go here again.
Everything was great; the only thing was that there was sometimes a short line at the buffet during dinner, but it wasn't a big deal. On the other hand, it's great that they give you 1.5 liters of water per person every day, and you can ask for more at any snack bar, so you don't have to buy it at the store. We had room 2161, and it was great.
Great resort with private beach. Some rooms have ocean views, others have pool views. Good size rooms. Very clean hotel. Great breakfast, with a wide selection of options to suit all tastes. Absolutely loved everything about this resort!
