Reviews
Beautiful hotel located directly at the beach. Great breakfast and nice staff. Very comfortable and modern rooms, also with excellent view at the beach and sea.
We stayed here for four nights and booked the terrace suite with kitchenette. The location is excellent: you overlook the beach and can watch the fishermen working day and night. The suite was spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast is good and fairly extensive. The owner is extremely frugal (in other words, stingy), and this shows in every detail. Unfortunately, it is the staff who have to deal with the resulting complaints rather than the owner. The interior is quite poor. For example, a faux-leather sofa mounted on a wooden base; in practice, it is not comfortable to sit on at all. The kitchenette items are only provided upon request (after six hours and three reminders, they were finally delivered). Everything seems designed to discourage their use: only a small wooden coffee spoon, no tea towel, nothing to wash dishes with, no bowl, no cup — even though the restaurant has all of these items in abundance. The confirmation email promises a coffee machine and an oven. Questions about this are met with rather implausible responses such as: “A coffee machine in Cape Verde is the same as instant coffee,” “No one has ever asked for this,” or “The company that manages the website and confirmation has not updated the text.” Beach towels are to be used for 48 hours (how to dry them without a rack is left to you). The cleaner is still making up your room at 6 p.m., and so on. In short: a beautiful location and very helpful staff, but not the level of comfort or luxury you would expect for this price. For the owner: pennywise is sometimes pound foolish…
Best Hotel I have been in 30 days at Cape Verd. The service of their employees is perfect and always smiling and curious to talk with you. I also appreciate the support from day 1 of Jair , the director , that always meet you in breakfast and ask if we need anything. Congratulations Jair and team because this last 4 days had been the best among the 30 days in Cape Verd. Thanks.
